The groundbreaking ceremony for “The Project for the Reconstruction of Lomaivuna High School Building” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme, funded by the Government of Japan, was held on 18th June 2026.
His Excellency Mr. Hiroshi TAJIMA, Ambassador of Japan to Fiji, and Mr. Ilaisa WAQALALA, Divisional Educational Officer Central, Ministry of Education, prayed for a safe and smooth construction of a school building worth approximately 403,000 Fiji dollars.
This project aims to improve the learning environment for students and enhance the educational environment by providing a 3-classroom building and furniture (120 sets of desks and chairs for students, 3 sets of desks and chairs for teachers) to the school.
