Handing Over Ceremony for “The Project for Improvement of Water Supply and Sanitary Environment in Lumiboso Village” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme.

On 3 June 2025, Japan Handed Over Water Supply and Sanitation System and Sanitary System to Lumiboso Village in Vanua Levu.
The Government of Japan provided assistance approximately FJ$320 thousand to Habitat for Humanity Fiji for the water supply and sanitation system through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP). Habitat for Humanity Fiji is a local NGO that builds housing, and developing water supply and sanitation facilities for low income individuals and disaster victims.
Ms. INOUE Chika, Second Secretary, the Embassy of Japan in Fiji handed over new water supply system to Lumiboso village under the supervision of Habitat for Humanity Fiji. The new water system will not only assist in access to clean water but also improve the sanitation environment for the villagers, thus enhancing the overall basic living conditions
