On August 20, 2024, Japan officially handed over a new 1x3 classroom and accompanying furniture to Naceva District School. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador to Fiji, Mr. Rokuichiro MICHII, the Honorable Lenora QERQERETABUA, Deputy Speaker of Parliament & Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, and New Zealand High Commissioner, Her Excellency Charlotte DARLOW.

The new building, valued at approximately FJD 378,000, was funded by Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) Programme. This significant enhancement provides students with a spacious and conducive learning environment, underscoring our commitment to academic excellence and community development.

During the ceremony, Ambassador MICHII emphasized the importance of quality education in driving regional development and Fiji’s economic growth. He expressed his ongoing commitment to supporting Fiji’s nation-building efforts and strengthening the friendship between Fiji and Japan.
