Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for seven Projects under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme.

On 7 March, 2022, a Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme was held at Suvavou House, Suva. The grant contracts were signed by H.E. Mr. KAWAKAMI Fumihiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Fiji, and the representatives of the seven recipient organizations for the following projects mentioned below. Hon. Premila Kumar, Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts, and Local Government was also present at this ceremony as a witness and expressed gratitude for Japan’s assistance. We hope these seven projects will further deepen the friendship between the Governments and peoples of Japan and Fiji.

- The Project for Rehabilitation of Namalata Central School (Grant Contract Signatory: Mr. Tevita Seru, Head Teacher)
- The Project for Rehabilitation of Ratu Nacagilevu Memorial School (Grant Contract Signatory: Mr. Lepani Navucu, Head Teacher)
- The Project for Provision of Heavy Machinery to Levuka Town Council (Grant Contract Signatory: Mr. Josese Rakuita, Chief Executive Officer)
