Ceremony for the Signing and Exchange of Notes for the “COVID-19 Crisis Response Emergency Support Loan (Phase2)”
On 22 February 2022, the Signing and Exchange of Notes Ceremony for the “COVID-19 Crisis Response Emergency Support Loan (Phase2)” worth up to 10 billion Japanese Yen (Approximately FJD$200 million) was held at the Ministry of Economy in Suva, Fiji between H.E. Mr. KAWAKAMI Fumihiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Fiji, and Honourable. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Acting Prime Minister and Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Economy, Civil Service, Communications, Housing and Community Development. This was followed by signing Loan Agreement between Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Fiji office and the Ministry of Economy. The minster acknowledged importance of the loan and its concessional conditions, and expressed their appreciation for Japanese supports to date.
