On Thursday, 6 October 2016, the University of the South Pacific (USP) hosted the launch of the JENESYS 2016 Programme aimed at promoting mutual understanding between the youths of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region towards building a basis for future friendship as well as promoting a global understanding of Japan’s society, history, culture, politics and foreign policy. 205 students from 14 Pacific Island Countries and 80 university students from Australia and New Zealand will visit Japan under the JENESYS2016 Programme.
