Signing of Exchange of Notes for the “Project for Strengthening Immunization Capacity in Pacific Island Countries

On 28 January 2021, the Signing and Exchange of Notes for the “Project for Strengthening Immunization Capacity in Pacific Island Countries” was held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan in Suva. The Exchange of Notes were signed by H.E. Mr. KAWAKAMI Fumihiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Fiji, Mr. Sheldon Yett, UNICEF Pacific Representative and Dr. Corrine Capuano, WHO Representative and Director, Pacific Technical Support.
 
The funding of 9.6 million USD for this Project will support 5 Pacific Island Countries namely, Kiribati, Palau, Fiji, Republic of the Marshall Islands and Federated States of Micronesia, in strengthening their health system capacities at national and provincial levels to deliver quality immunization services.
