Send-Off Reception for the participants of the “High School Students Islands Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day 2017 in Okinawa”

The Send-off reception for the participants (Fiji, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Nauru, Vanuatu) of the “High School Students Islands Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day 2017 in Okinawa” was held at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Fiji. Ms. Loata Vakacegu, Deputy Secretary for Rural and Maritime Development, National Disaster Management & Meteorological Services made a speech on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Fiji.
6 students and 1 escort teacher from Ratu Kadavulevu School are going to represent Fiji, as “Youth Ambassadors for World Tsunami Awareness Day”, at the “High School Students Islands Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day 2017 in Okinawa” which will be held in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan on 7 – 8 Nov 2017.
