Japanese Government Scholarships 2011 Intake

JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2011

 

The Government of Japan continues to award scholarships annually that benefit Fiji citizens.

One Fiji nationals has been awarded Japanese Government Scholarships and will depart for Japan on the 3rd October, 2011.

Mrs. Wati Sotia Lesivoukilakeba has been awarded scholarship under the Teacher Training Programme to further her studies in the field of Early Childhood Education at the Hiroshima University. Mrs. Wati will undergo her intensive Japanese Language studies for six months at the beginning of her 18 months study period.

The Government of Japan Scholarship (MEXT) was introduced to Fiji in 1982 to promote human resources development and international exchange. Approximately around 130 students from Fiji have been awarded with the scholarships since its inception.
