The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance in the amount of approximately JPY 932,000,000 (approx. US $ 8.0 million) to the Government of Tuvalu for improvement of Funafuti Port through its Official Development Assistance (ODA).

Mr. Masashi Namekawa, the Ambassador of Japan, will sign and exchange notes formalising Japan’s commitment towards this assistance.
This grant assistance has materialised from the request by the Government of Tuvalu.
