Send-Off Reception for the participants of the “High School Students Islands Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day 2017 in Okinawa”

The Send-off reception for the participants (Fiji, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Nauru, Vanuatu) of the “High School Students Islands Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day 2017 in Okinawa” was held at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Fiji. Ms. Emma Penitala Lauti, Deputy High Commissioner of Tuvalu to Fiji attended on behalf of the Government of Tuvalu.
6 students and 1 escort teacher from Motofoua Secondary School & Fetuvalu Secondary School are going to represent Tuvalu, as “Youth Ambassadors for World Tsunami Awareness Day”, at the “High School Students Islands Summit on World Tsunami Awareness Day 2017 in Okinawa” which will be held in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan on 7 – 8 Nov 2017.
