Ambassador Tajima presented Letter of Credence to Governor-General

On 31 March 2026, Ambassador of Japan to Tuvalu, H.E. Mr. Hiroshi TAJIMA, presented his Letter of Credence to Governor General of Tuvalu, H.E. Rev. Sir Tofiga Vaevalu Falani.
Ambassador Tajima conveyed the cordial greetings from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, which manifest His Majesty’s warm desires to further promote the friendship and goodwill jointly nurtured by the Governments and peoples of Tuvalu and Japan.
Ambassador also said that he is delighted to see that as part of the Pacific family of nations, both countries have continued to strengthen Tuvalu-Japan relations over the years, and that under the auspices of such bonds of friendship between our nations, he earnestly looks forward to serving as Japan’s Ambassador to Tuvalu, to work closely with the people of Tuvalu to elevate our relations to greater heights.
The Governor General H.E. Falani warmly welcomed the Ambassador and said that he would like to further enhance the bilateral relations and friendship during the Ambassador’s tenure. He also extended his wishes the health and happinesses of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and the people of Japan.
