Handing Over of Emergency Relief Supplies to the Government of Tuvalu

We are pleased to announce that the Government of Japan through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has provided assistance to the Government and the people of Tuvalu following the prolong drought that has been affecting the country. Through this assistance, Japan has provided 10 water tanks (capacity of 3,700 litres each) and 17 water purifiers. H.E Mr. KAWAKAMI Fumihiro handed over the emergency relief supplies to Hon. Ampelosa Tehulu, the Minister for Public Works, Infrastructure, Environment, Labour, Meteorology and Disaster. at a virtual handing over ceremony yesterday afternoon. The Embassy would like to extend our appreciation and acknowledge the logistics and transportation support of the Australian Government.  This assistance is in addition to the water distribution truck that has been provided to Nanumea Kaupule
