Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for 2 Projects and Handing Over Ceremony for 2 Projects under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP)

On March 13, 2018, a Grant Contract Signing Ceremony and Handing Over Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Funafuti Lagoon Hotel, in Funafuti, Tuvalu.

The grant contracts were witnessed by Mr. Genta Yamada, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan, and the representatives of the two recipient organizations for the following projects;

1.    The Project for the Provision of School Bus to Fusi Alofa Special School

(Grant Contract Signatory: Mr. Melton Paka Tauetia, General Manager of Fusi Alofa Special School)

2.    The Project for the Provision of Water Distribution Truck to Funafuti Kaupule

(Grant Contract Signatory: Mr. Semi Vine, the President of Funafuti Kaupule)

Mr. Yamada also handed over the new School Bus and Garbage Truck to each recipient organizations for the following projects;

1.    The Project for the Provision of School Bus to Nauti Primary School

(Recipient: Funafuti Kaupule)

2.    The Project for the Provision of Garbage Truck in Funafuti

(Recipient: Solid Waste Agency of Tuvalu (SWAT))
