Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for“The Project for the Improvement of Exhibition Equipment at the Naoero Museum” under the Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Projects.

On March 19, 2026, in the presence of H.E. Mr. David Adeang, President of the Republic of Nauru, a Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Projects (GCGP) entitled “The Project for the Improvement of Exhibition Equipment at the Naoero Museum” was held between H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Tajima, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Nauru, and Hon. Charmaine Eraidinomo Scotty, Minister for Heritage, Culture, Tourism and the Naoero Museum.

The project aims to improve the exhibition environment related to Nauru’s history and cultural resources, and exhibition equipment such as display cases will be provided to the Naoero Museum.

At the signing ceremony, Ambassador Tajima stated “Through this Grant Assistance for Grassroots Cultural Projects, Japan hopes to contribute to the preservation of Nauruan culture, national pride, and sustainable development.”
