The Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for “The Project for the Construction of the Building of William Goward Memorial College” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme.

On 13th March 2024, a Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the William Goward Memorial College. The grant contract for "The Project for the Construction of the Building of William Goward Memorial College" was signed by Mr. IKEDA Hirotsugu, Chargé d'affaires ad interim of Japan to the Republic of Kiribati, and Mr. Ieretita Bwataeru, Secretary for Kiribati Uniting Church Schools in Kiribati.

The provision of a new classroom building will ensure there is a sufficient and safe space for students, contributing to a quality learning environment. The school principal expressed her gratitude for the support of Japan’s assistance in contributing to the development of the education sector.
