On 12 May 2021, His Excellency Mr. KAWAKAMI Fumihiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Kiribati, presented the Credentials to His Excellency Mr. Taneti Maamau, President of the Republic of Kiribati online. After the presentation, H.E. President Maamau and H.E. Ambassador Kawakami reaffirmed the longstanding close friendship of Kiribati-Japan and discussed their commitment to further develop the relationship.
